Oh, it will start a lot sooner than that for select Hallmark Gold Crown Stores as they kick off the 2019 Keepsake Ornaments season with an early release of four popular Keepsake Ornaments. Summer Tanager, 15th in the Beauty of Birds series; Eastern Bluebird, miniature; and Brilliant Butterfly, 3rd in the series all by Keepsake Artist Edythe Kegrize and Sweet Pea Fairy, 15th in the Fairy Messengers series by Keepsake Artist Kristina Gaughran are now available at participating Hallmark Gold Crown Stores.

Is there a way to find out what stores received the early 2019 ornaments and if there are any in your area? I’ve called about 30 stores in my state and none of them have the ornaments. None of them had any idea what I was talking about and several told me I ha no idea what I was talking about because Hallmark never releases ornaments for sale in stores until July. When I tried to explain to one person that this was something new they were doing this year, she basically told me I was clueless because she’s worked for Hallmark for 30yrs and releasing ornaments before July just doesn’t happen.
Denise, the reaction you got is somewhat understandable as this is something new. You will want to focus your efforts on corporately owned stores—ones that are typically named Amy’s. We’ve heard that this early release is being test marketed in at least 60 corporate stores. I have been able to sniff out two stores that received them: Amy’s Hallmark in Oak Park Mall – Overland Park, KS (913) 888-1884 and Amy’s Hallmark Shop at The Shops At Boardwalk – Kansas City, MO (816) 584-8585.
