Announcement: Ken Crow “Graduation”
Dear Local Club Presidents,
After 40 wonderful years, our beloved Hallmark Keepsake Ornament Master Artist Ken Crow has announced that he is retiring from Hallmark in late August 2019. The Hallmark Keepsake ornament team will continue to deliver the very best craftsmanship and magic functioning ornaments, as Ken always embodied. The Hallmark Keepsake Village wishes Ken the best in his new ‘master class of creativity’ and we’re looking forward to celebrating with him at the Keepsake Ornament Club (KOC) Convention August 8-10.

To be a Hallmarker for the past 40 years has been a magical adventure. Every year has taken me to a place where my imagination could find wonderful places of creativity. I am thankful for every teacher and influence that I have benefited from on each project from greeting cards and stickers to magic mechanical Keepsake ornaments. I have been a student in the greatest creative university that I could ever be a part of.
Now it is time for me to graduate and enjoy the new master class of creativity that I will explore. I gave Hallmark my very best and now I will enjoy the rest of my life going down new wonderful paths of creativity. If I can make one person smile with the artwork that I create, then I will be a happy person.

Hello from the Keepsake Village! Spring is upon us and we are very excited to see the seasons change, bringing about sunny days, flowers to enjoy, and time to get outdoors to enjoy the beautiful Spring weather. We hope that you’re getting excited for the Dream Book to be released in just a few weeks! National Club members will be receiving their books in their Dream Boxes throughout the first couple weeks of April. This year’s book is filled with beautiful photography of this year’s ornament line, stories behind the ornaments for you to enjoy, and a wish list for you to begin. We hope you take the time to gather loved ones and look through the Dream Book together! Get together with your local club to talk about which ornaments you cannot wait to see in person at our Keepsake events throughout the year!

We hope this message finds you well! We are very excited to share more details about the 2019 KOC Convention, being held in Kansas City August 8-10, 2019. Registration for the convention will go live at 5 PM CST on Thursday, February 28th. Until then, we hope you encourage your members to visit our event website, live now, to learn all about this year’s magical Convention experience.
Check out the convention website to learn more where you’ll will find details about the overall experience, the event agenda, artist signing information, breakout sessions details, and you can check out all of this year’s event exclusive ornaments! Thanks to your suggestions, you’ll notice some big improvements this year!
We suggest using the Group pages on the Community site to connect with your members about your plans to attend the event, as well.

The 2018 Local Club ornament, Teensy Nutcracker by Tracy Larsen, will mail to store sponsors and/or Local Club Presidents starting Wednesday, October 17. This ornament is an exclusive gift for local club members in appreciation for all the support given to the Hallmark Keepsake Ornament Club.
NOTE: The ornament quantities clubs receive are based on the Local Club Rosters submitted in the first quarter of 2018.
UPDATE (10.31.18 @ 2:51 PM) – The 2018 Local Club ornament mailing has been slightly delayed. Instead of shipping on October 17, as originally announced, it shipped this week.
UPDATE (11.01.18 @ 3:14 PM) – Store sponsors and Local Club contacts are starting to report they have received the 2018 Local Club ornament shipment.

2019 Sneak Peek: Local Club Ornament
Available at Ornament Premiere, the miniature Up and Away ornament created by Anita Marra Rogers, features Santa himself on the hot air balloon. Hallmark liked it so much they created a companion ornament featuring Mrs. Claus, and it will be the 2019 KOC local club free gif! Make sure you pick up this year’s ornament so you can unite the happy couple next year with your companion ornament.
