This commemorative ornament, 40th in the series, began as one of the tallest Christmas trees in the nation.  The 100-foot Douglas fir was a gift to Kansas City from Cascade Timber Consulting, Inc. in Oregon.  The tree traveled more than 1,500 miles through six states to Kansas City, where it became the 2019 Mayor’s Christmas Tree.

Each year, the tree stands in Crown Center Square to represent the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Fund, a citywide charity that makes the season merrier for our less fortunate.  After the holidays, the tree is cut into lumber and made into ornaments designed by Hallmark artists.  This limited-edition Ornament is the latest in the collectible series and was designed by Artist Em Bronson.

The variation in the wood grain makes each ornament a one-of-a-kind treasure.  And, through each ornament lives the spirit of holiday giving—all proceeds from the sale of these ornaments benefit the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Fund.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTRIBUTION.
