1908 Ford Model T
Fire Brigade

Ding! Ding! Automotive legend coming through! A century ago, in 1908, the first Ford Model T rolled off the line, revolutionizing the way we live, work, and play. Assembly line production made it the first widely affordable car, and sturdy construction made it ideal for the heavy duty needs of businesses and fire departments. This original model year “T” would have been independently outfitted as a fire truck, with an extended chassis, ladder and hose mounts, bell and, of course, fire engine red paint. Working headlights added to the magic of this classic workhorse, which likely replaced an actual horse-drawn fire engine!
