NOTE: The concept of an Eskimo ornament which was based on a Hallmark greeting card illustration was submitted by Donna Lee (Hill).

The little polar bear’s song book has a snowflake (six radiants) on its cover to symbolize his connection to nature. To show the Eskimo kid is an explorer, his song book cover features a compass rose (eight cardinal points).

In the 1980 and 1981 ornaments the affectionate friendship between Frosty and his pals is conveyed by having them touch.
