  • CAUTION: Risk of electric shock. For use in dry location only.
  • The Hallmark Power Box is intended to be correctly oriented in a vertical hanging position or flat with indicator light facing up.
  • Turn off the power supply when leaving unattended or overnight.
  • To turn off power, firmly grasp plug and pull from electrical socket.
    Do not disconnect by pulling on the cord.
  • Do not cover transformer or Hallmark Power Box with cloth or tree skirt.
  • Replace fuse with 4.0-amp, 125- or 250-volt fast-blow type only.
  • This product is not intended to be repaired. Replace power unit in case of failure from component defects, crack of the transformer enclosure, or damaged or frayed input cord.
  • Do not cut off extra side posts on double plugs on product connection wires.
    If the product to be powered has a double plug, it must be plugged into two jack holes in Hallmark Power Box. This is done to ensure that the power rating for that product does not exceed the rating of the Hallmark Power Box.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

  • Remove from package, and position or hang Hallmark Power Box in location to reach ornaments or decorations to be powered. The Hallmark Power Box can be placed back side down on a fireplace mantel or cabinet or can be hung from a branch in a Christmas tree.
  • Plug the input cord into an electrical outlet having 120VAC/60Hz. Check to make sure that the green indicator light is on. If the indicator light does not light, proceed to TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEMS in the next section.
  • Plug ornaments or decorations into output sockets on the Hallmark Power Box, and enjoy the special electrical features.

TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEMS

If the green indicator light does not light, check your electrical connections to make sure everything is plugged in. Verify that the outlet you are using has power by plugging a different AC appliance. Then check switches on the power strips and circuit breakers in the home. Verity that the fuse functions according to CHECKING OR REPLACING THE FUSE in the next section. If the Hallmark Power Box still does not provide electrical Special features to several ornaments or decorations, return the Hallmark Power Box for replacement, within the terms of the warranty.

CHECKING OR REPLACING THE FUSE

Disconnect Hallmark Power Box by firmly grasping input plug and pulling from socket. Remove fuse cover using a small screwdriver as a wedge, extracting the fuse. Check the fuse for burned or broken element. cover come , extracting the fuse. Check the fuse for burned or broken element. For replacement, use a fast-acting fuse rated at 40 amps, 125 or 250 volts, 5 X 20 mm GMA/217 series. Place the new fuse centered in the hole in the fuse cover and press into the Hallmark Power Box. A spare fuse is supplied. It is attached to the cord.
