Old World Santa

Tracy Larsen’s premium Old World Santa is a must-have bit of merry for collectors. Constructed primarily of porcelain, it also has a fine layer of fabric for his coat and faux fur trim adorning the edges and cuffs of the coat and his hat. He also holds a frosted bottlebrush tree with little crystals alongside an ornament and a pouch–probably with all the gifts inside! The ornament even includes real jingle bells.

After doing a preliminary 3D sketch on the computer, Tracy sculpted this Old World Santa with wax. Using his recognizable whimsical, quirky and playful approach, Tracy wanted to embrace the style of historical Santas from around the world.

“It has a European flavor,” he says.

Not only a creator, Tracy is a collector as well. When it’s time for Christmas, his house is filled with decorations he’s curated over the years–little villages, nativities and, of course, Santas. Much of his collection is either his own work or the work of his Keepsake family.

“Tt’s fun decorating and having the kids home as much as possible,” he says.
