Hallmark Artist Edythe Kegrize’s graceful Red Bird was inspired by a leafy floral Art Nouveau pattern she uncovered in our archives. Edythe applied the flowering leaf pattern to the bird’s wings, placed a traditional holiday amaryllis bloom on each shoulder, and used deep red and black backgrounds to create a striking contrast that enhances the delicate beauty of the metallic patterns. The fluffy bright-red tail feather matches the color of the flower and completes the bird’s merry, festive look.
