WHITE STAR

This pearlescent star was inspired by an ornate black-and-white pattern Hallmark Artist Terri Steiger discovered in our archives. The pattern was part of a collection curated by Viennese artist Andrew Szoeke, who designed Hallmark’s now famous “Crown” logo. Terri reversed the black elements to white and layered other patterns on top to create an ornament that recalls the textured, tone-on-tone design of mid-20th-century European ceramics.
