Winter Friends

For a perfect holiday, there should be snow and a snowman!  And what better snowman than one who’s decked in nature’s wonders-holly, evergreen… and four of my favorite birds!  first, a cardinal—I’d never seen the beautiful cardinal before I visited America.  Next, a European robin—he’s my cheery morning company while I paint.  Then, there’s a chickadee—he’s as inquisitive as I am on my morning walks.  And finally, the winter wren—what a powerful song comes from such a tiny body.  The happy snowman holding a wreath of favorite feathered friends—what a nice way to bring the fun of winter indoors!
