NERDY NUGGET: The first Sith Apprentice under Darth Sidious, Darth Maul was sent to battle Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his Padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi, on Naboo. After defeating MasterJinn, Maul was struck down by Kenobi. This fateful blow left him bisected, both halves of his body plummeting down a reactor shaft in the Theed Royal Palace. Consumed by hate and driven for revenge, Maul willed himself to live and eventually re-emerged from the shadows with a pair of cybernetic legs.
