1st in the series.
Features a carved nutcracker–dressed in a green coat trimmed with vines, boughs and berries, and mini Christmas tree hat–holding a birdfeeder and hosting a pair of red birds while standing atop a tree stump base. A functioning lever on the back opens and closes the nutcracker's mouth.
I really like nutcrackers because they’re kind of nostalgic. For a new series, I liked the idea of creating a whole world around each nutcracker–they’ll each be the keeper of their domain, and it gives each of them a story to tell. My favorite element of the first one is the sculpted surface design. It makes him look a little bit Scandinavian or Danish with the minimal colors.
