Marking 15 years of her Father Christmas series, Keepsake Artist Joanne Eschrich wanted this 2018 ornament to honor a fond memory she shared with her daughters.

“This past year, we had a beautiful red cardinal visit our kitchen window for the longest time,” she explains. “I was very much inspired by him and his family, whom I could see in the distance.”

Joanne also appreciates how cardinals symbolize another type of angel with outstretched wings…that when you see one of these brilliant beauties, it might be a loved one stopping by to cheer your heart.
