Edythe Kegrize Keepsake Artist Edythe Kegrize made Hallmark history in 1998 as the first recipient of the company’s Barbara Marshall Award. The award, created to honor the daughter of Hallmark founder J.C. Hall, recognizes the spirit and ability within Hallmark’s creative community. During her six-month sabbatical, Edythe created a series of dolls that demonstrated her talent for figurative work and surface design–and earned her a spot in the Keepsake Studio. Robert Hurlburt For Keepsake Artist Robert Hurlburt, Hallmark began as a family affair—his brother helped bring him into company. “He and I knew that we wanted to do something creative rather than what our family traditionally did, which was working in an industrial trade,” he says. What Robert brought with him from that background is the technical eye he uses to scrutinize each of his creations.
