Debra Nielsen Debra Nielsen’s creative career began when a neighbor told her about an interesting freelance opportunity at Hallmark. The idea appealed to the working mom busy raising young kids, and the job became her first opportunity to turn art–which had been a lifetime hobby–into a profession.
