Five evenings a week from 1955 to 1959, kids gathered around their televisions, awaiting the bouncy strains of the “Mickey Mouse March.” What followed was a half hour of music, dance, and comedy performed by the perky teenaged Mouseketeers. Classic cartoons, guest stars, and kid-friendly serial stories rounded out the show. The Mickey Mouse Club was revived on the Disney Channel in 1989, proving the timeless appeal of M-I-C-K-E-Y-M-O-U-S-E!
