Fifty years ago, the “space age” began in the U.S.A. with the launch of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.  Snoopy, the “fire beagle on the moon,” has been part of the NASA team ever since the late ’60s when the Apollo X mission dubbed the command module “Charlie Brown” and the lunar module “Snoopy.”  Today NASA continues its bold mission of “Inspiration, Innovation, and Discovery” with plans to return to the moon by 2020 and then on to Mars.
