A hush falls over the gallery as Arnold Palmer lines up a putt. It’s a scene that’s been repeated again and again, with Arnie’s Army watching in awe. Palmer received his first set of clubs at the age of four, cut down to size by his father. He won the U.S. Amateur Championship in 1954 and soon turned pro. By the end of 1993, he tallied 92 national and international championships. He finished first on the Senior PGA Tour ten times. A charter member of the World Golf Hall of Fame, Palmer is also a member of the American Golf Hall of Fame and PGA Hall of Fame.
