A Bright Beginning

Pixar’s playful little icon bounced onto the world stage in 1986 with an innocence that captured hearts as quickly as Pixar’s technical wizardry captured imaginations. In that first animated short, the inquisitive lamp bounces on a ball while astonishingly realistic shadow play spotlights the company’s computer-generated precision and skill.  Today the lamp still bounces atop the “I” in Pixar as the theater lights dim and yet another blockbuster animated feature begins.
