While you are browsing the Latest News, you’ll often see pictures of ornaments that are mentioned. On the old website, you’d find all their information like price and availability directly below the picture on the news page.
However, on our new site you just click on the ornament image and you will be taken a page made just for that ornament, giving all the important details about it! Year, artist, SKU, original price, and so forth!
You never have to worry about finding the original news article, as the ornament always has it’s own special place.
We are building a database of ornaments on this site, a sort of digital version of the Dream Books, so to speak. You can search for your favorite ornaments or use the Ornaments menu at the top of each page to look at a year’s worth of ornaments.
As you might imagine with 400+ ornaments every year, this is a rather monu-orna-mental task… so we are not done… it will take a long time. We currently have 2017 and 2018 finished, and all the 2019 sneak peeks up. We are scouring through the 2016 Dream Book as I speak.
There are certain highlighted ornaments from other years up too.
In my next post I’ll share some of the fun things we’ve built into the Ornaments part of the website!

Fun things we’ve built into the Ornament pages…
Each ornament listed on our site shows all the basic information we have about it, including artist, SKU, size, series information (if any) and much more.
When we have the information, we also include the release date for the ornament… like Premiere (July), Debut (October), Open House (November), and Gift of Memories (December). Spring and monthly series ornaments will list the actual month of release, like say January or March (typically the months between Christmas and Premiere).
If there is a repainted version of an ornament, you’ll find a smaller image of it just below the the description. You’ll also find ornaments that specifically coordinate with it there also. Just click on those images to fetch their Ornament pages!
What about the Related section at the bottom? Well, that’s for ornaments that are part of a series, unofficial series, or just generally related in some way. Examples would be Frosty Friends, Kris’ Penguins and Star Wars character heads! Ornaments in the related section are sorted by year, starting with the the most recent.
Finally, the very bottom is a comments section for each ornament! Have thoughts to share with others about an ornament, or perhaps a review? Post it there for the next person to find!
