Messaging Feature Being Removed 9/5/2020

On September 5, 2020, we will remove the user-to-user Messaging feature from Digital Dreambook.
If you are currently using it, please make arrangements now to connect with those fellow collectors in other ways.  Unfortunately we feel we must take this action due to a couple of spammers that have abused our Messaging system to send unsolicited messages to our legitimate users.  (If you received an email recently from our site, it was a Message Notification from our system, not a direct email from the spammer, as we keep our user’s email addresses hidden.)

In the future if a solution for dumping spam and spam Notification Messages is available we may consider reimplementing Messaging.

Due to another spammer abusing using our messaging system today, we felt the need to close the system earlier than originally announced.  Messaging is now gone.  It’s very sad and frustrating to us that we had to take this measure, but these people were very determined to send out absurd messages.  As before, if you received a notification, it was from our site, the spammer did not get your email address.
