as my ornament friends have returned from premiere, I leave you with this.

I used this at Hallmark talent event at a signing city. I WON !!

Twas right before premiere, and all through the land
Collector’s were wishing with dream books in hand.
The charge cards were tucked in their wallets with care
in hopes that some ornaments still would be there.

Our spouses were tossing unsettled in bed
while nightmares of Visa bills danced in their heads.
The visions of snow buddies, frosty’s and trains,
would soon make their saving deplete once again

At 7 AM the alarm clock did rattle.
I sprang from my bed, fully dressed to do battle.
Away to the Hallmark store I drove like a flash.
Armed only with credit cards, gold crown card and CASH!!

With only my coffee, I raced to the mall.
I ran to the store, first in line after all.
Then a sales clerk appeared and she unlocked the door.
She jumped back 4 feet she’d been through this before.

The crowd moved as one as we passed through the door.
Then spread through the aisles as we entered the store.
We ran past the cards, and the paper and bows.
and headed for Palmiter, Haddix and Crow’s.

I spoke not a word but went straight to my work,
grabbed all of my ornies and elbowed some jerk.
Then holding my gold crown card next to my nose
and giving a nod to the checkout I rose.

Away to the cashier I flew like a flash
I whipped out my wallet and threw down the cash.
Then I raced to my car and I drove out of sight
To the next closest Hallmark, my schedule is tight.

      You could hear me exclaim
as I drove out of sight
      Merry Christmas to all and
I WILL See YOU at Room Hopping tonight!!!
