Kanine Krunchies

For Keepsake Artist Robert Hurlburt, Hallmark began as a family affair—his brother helped bring him into company. “He and I knew that we wanted to do something creative rather than what our family traditionally did, which was working in an industrial trade,” he says. Tammy Haddix’s 30 years as a Hallmark Artist–more than 20 of them with the Keepsake Studio–have included countless conversations with people who share meaningful stories about her Christmas creations. “A Keepsake Ornament is something so special that you keep it forever. Thinking about people bringing my ornaments out every year…I can’t even describe how it feels. It’s very touching and very emotional for me.”

Anita Marra Rogers

Anita Marra Rogers has been a lifelong painter, but she didn’t know she could sculpt until an impromptu visit to Hallmark. A friend who worked in the Keepsake Studio invited her to stop by for lunch one day, and while the other artists were out at lunch, Anita decided sculpting was worth a try. Soon enough, she’d developed a sculpting portfolio that blew both Hallmark and her friend away and has been sculpting happily ever since.

Kris Gaughran

Kris Gaughran grew up watching her aspiring-artist mother enter paintings in 4H competitions, intricately decorate cookies, and never give up on her passion for creating. “She inspired me to do the same,” Kris explains. “From early on, I found so many ways to be creative. I would draw, doodle, and add illustrations to the stories I read. My mom’s unwavering example continues to fuel my artistic expression today.”

Sharon Visker

For Sharon Visker, each Keepsake Ornament starts with outside inspiration–insights found in bookshops, antique stores, toy stores, and other eclectic destinations. She is especially drawn to folk art, bright colors, and whimsical styles. After she has thoroughly explored, discovered, and gathered ideas, Sharon returns to her workspace to bring all that inspiration to life!

- Vote for the Next Keepsake Ornament – Five concept sketches–Crooning Cowboy by Tom Best, Style Superstar by Nina Aubé, Santa’s Treat Maker by Ken Crow, Christmas Bacon by Sharon Visker, and Snowball and Tux Yoga by Joanne Eschrich–were displayed on different candy dispensers. Attendees “could impact Keepsake history!” by just taking a piece of candy (a star mint) from their top pick and casting a vote for their favorite Keepsake Ornament concept. The Magic of Christmas Evening Event
6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. (Sheraton) — Reception and Silent Auction (auction gallery)
7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. (Sheraton) — Plated Dinner and Live Auction (auction gallery)
All attendees are invited to come together to celebrate the magic of Christmas and raise money for Boys & Girls Clubs of America. You will have the opportunity to bid on one-of-a-kind items. Your generous donations will give the gift of Christmas to children in need this holiday season. Feel free to dress in your Christmas best for this festive evening.

Artist Signings
We heard you! Instead of long lines before or during the signing experience, you will be assigned a time within your registered session for artist signatures. There will be tables and seating near each signing area.

Artists have been grouped by theme. Sign up for the groups you’re most interested in or sign up for them all!

Signing sessions will take place in the North Pole Village approximately every 20 minutes Thursday, August 8 from 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM and Friday, August 9 from 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM. Exact times will be available on a first come, first served basis during registration.

Keepsake Artist Interviews
For the first time ever, enjoy in-person interviews with Keepsake artists Edythe Kegrize, Robert Hurlburt, Joanne Eschrich and Debra Nielsen to hear more from the creators behind your favorite designs. What have you always wanted to know? You will have the ability to submit your questions during registration.

Join the Keepsake Innovation team for a behind the scenes look at the latest technologies and a sneak peek of what’s coming next!

License to Create!
Hear all about what goes into the making of those beloved licensed characters on Keepsake ornaments.

Tom’s “Cigar” Hour
Keepsake artists Tom Best, Nello Williams and Rodney Gentry will be talking shop as they reveal the inspiration behind some of their best beer and hot-rod ornament designs.

These sessions are for kids and junior collectors 6-12 years old. Chaperones are welcome to attend.
