Greetings from the Keepsake Village!
Hello from the Keepsake Village! Happy (almost) Spring! We hope you are staying warm in the last few days of Winter and getting excited for the release of our 2020 Dream Book! We can hardly wait for you to get your hands on the new line up of Keepsake Ornaments and begin dreaming of all the Keepsakes you will add to your collections this year. We know some of your favorite traditions are spent huddled around the new Dream Book with friends and family choosing your favorites for the year. This year, we have new series, final in series, new licensed content, new innovation and magic, your favorite classic Christmas characters, and so much more!

We sat down with Keepsake Artist, Edythe Kegrize, and asked her about the 16th ornament in her Beauty of Birds series, and we want you to be the first to hear about what she had to say. For this ornament, Edythe researched heavily for striking patterns and the stunning colors we know and love of her series. The Black-Throated Blue Warbler is seen carrying one of its favorite snacks…berries! This is the first Warbler Edythe has done for this series…and there may be a Limited Quantity female companion to go with it releasing at Ornament Premiere in July!

We sat down with Keepsake Product Development Director, Jim Tronoski, and learned that the Santa of the Forest premium Poland blown-glass ornament is the most complicated and detailed Santa that Keepsakes has ever created in blown-glass. “This Santa was inspired by an original sculpt by Robert Chad,” Jim said. “But the finished sculpt for this ornament was done by Jim Kemme and the white birch forest and birds were designed by me.” Each element on the piece is hand painted, and as you can see from the design, the detail is beautifully intricate. “This forest pattern is the most complicated scene we have ever created for glass,” said Jim.

Though we are not providing the Local Club Ornament this year, we are working with your sponsor stores to continue to enhance the local club activities. Local Clubs continue to be an important part of our Keepsake brand family and we want YOU to help shape what the experience is like in the future. Now is your local club’s chance to weigh in! In other Keepsake Ornament news….
The Dream Book is coming soon!
The 2020 Keepsake Dream Books are being printed as we type this newsletter! We are so excited for you to see this year’s beautiful book. We want our Local Clubs to be the first to know about the changes in this year’s book design. Here are a few things to expect:
- There are two sections to this year’s book
- Look Book (front portion of the back) full of beautiful photography of some of our favorite ornaments in the line this year.
- Catalog (back portion of the book) that features every Keepsake ornament in the line with information about price, artist and release date. The catalog design is meant to serve as a visual Wish List – a new, fun way to check off every ornament on your List this year before filling out the actual Wish List. Just like last year, Wish Lists can be filled out in the physical copy included with your Dream Book, or on Hallmark.com.
- The Dream Book for KOC members will be wrapped in a very special, exclusive cover! New this year, the KOC Dream Book and the book you can pick up in-stores will have the same page contents. Which is super exciting because this means ONE Wish List for both books!
- Throughout the Dream Book, there will be links to Hallmark.com where you can see more close ups of each ornament and even watch videos that feature the Keepsake Artists and tell you more about the inspiration and magic of each design. How fun would it be to watch these videos together as a club!

2020 Keepsake Event Dates
Keepsake Event dates have been set, so be sure to mark your calendars! Remember, some of the best Bonus Points and promotions occur on the first weekend of Ornament Premiere and Ornament Debut, so be sure to mark your calendars to shop that first weekend!
