      We all learned today the sad news (for us collectors) that Ken Crow is retiring this year.  He certainly is one my FAVORITE artists and I will miss his ornaments.  I thought it would be fun to ask everyone to share their favorite Ken Crow ornament or maybe even a fun memory of meeting him!

      It’s hard for me to chose, but I the year I joined the KOCC, in 1991, the membership ornament was Hidden Treasure by Ken.  It’s always been special to me and always goes up each year.

      Hard to pick one favorite ornament, but I do have a favorite moment with Ken.  It was at the 2017 event in Kansas City.  I had taken the 2013 Victorian Dollhouse event piece to be signed by Ken and other artists. Turned out Ken was the last one to sign and there was a blank space about 1″ X 2″  left on the back of the ornament.  I mentioned to Ken that he was my last artist for this piece…so he filled the space with “Merry Christmas 2017 KOC Convention, Ken Crow”.  He has always been kind and fun-loving during these events.  What a great artist.  He will be missed.  PS My ornament budget is the only one that is happy about this graduation.

        That’s so nice that he took extra time to do that!  He’s truly a class act!
