Lucy and the Wardrobe

Inquisitive Lucy steps inside the big wardrobe that stands all by itself in one of the Professor’s strange rooms.  She pushes her arms deeper into the soft folds of the fur coats.  Suddenly she finds herself in a snowy forest looking at a bright lamppost.  So begins a great adventure in the magical realm of Narnia, retold in the 2006 Disney live-action film of C. S. Lewis’s story The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.  Together with her brothers and sister, Lucy makes friends with Narnia’s remark-able citizens, who have never before met humans.  Their enemy is the evil White Witch, who makes it winter all the time-with never a Christmas-and changes those who cross her into stone statues.  Only the power of Aslan can end her reign as the false queen.
