Battery-operated, Requires three AAA batteries (included). To hear music, shake snow globe gently. Use switch on bottom of base to control "Lights." In the "On" position, lights on Snoopy's doghouse blink while lights glow on the little tree on the base. Slide the switch to "Motion-Activated." and lights will be on only while the music is playing (after the snow globe is shaken). Music will play through one time and stop automatically.
