Horton Hatches the Egg™

What a predicament!  Mayzie (that lazy bird) told Horton the Elephant™ that she’d be right back, but she never returned.  Horton sat on the little egg, and he sat, and he sat, and he sat—because, as he said, “An elephant’s faithful one hundred per cent.”  Imagine his surprise when the egg finally hatched and out flew a new kind of bird with “ears and a tail and a trunk just like his!”
