Tea Time!

One of Keepsake Artist Tracy Larsen’s favorite memories from childhood remains the family’s annual outing to select a fresh Christmas tree for their home, a tradition he continues today with his own kids. “We do have some artificial trees just because we have enough ornaments to cover two or three…or four,” he says when speaking of their vast collection.

Whether he’s sculpting popular cartoon characters or a playful Santa Claus, Tracy tries to put a comical twist on everything. “Whatever I create, I try to work animation and humor into it.” he says. “I want it to be more than a static piece of art. I want it to be full of fun and energy, too.”

the hours he spent snow-tubing in the Utah foothills–
or a replica of his grandmother’s house, just a few
blocks from his boyhood home. “I love what I do,”
he says. “It’s like kindergarten all year long.
I never have to grow up.”
