When Kris Gaughran creates Keepsake Ornament. family always comes to mind. Sci-fi characters prompt thoughts of her husband and her brother (who are also fans.) Cute, sweet characters like penguins and fairies evoke happy memories of her sons and her nieces. “The biggest influences on my work,” she says, “are definitely the family I grew up with and the family I’m building now.”

Grandkids Are the Sweetest

Matt Johnson loves trying new things, which makes him a bit of a utility man in the Keepsake Studio. Matt has an industrial design background, but he’s also inspired by art, architecture’ and toys. “Most of all,” he says, “I love experimenting, playing around, and seeing how all these elements come together to create an ornament.”
