This month’s featured series, Father Christmas by Joanne Eschrich celebrates its 13th year in 2016.

When Joanne Eschrich was asked years ago to come up with “yet another Santa” she thought, “How may can there be?” She was lying in bed one night when it came to her: “This needs to be a Santa Claus that brings a special message” to the recipient. That thought evolved into the Father Christmas series.

Joanne is very detailed with each Father Christmas she creates. “Because each Father Christmas comes with a message, I’m careful to make sure that everything from the flow of his coat to the expression on his face reflects the message he holds.”

Joanne sums up the series by saying that, “Father Christmas bridges the gap between Santa Claus and the true meaning of Christmas.”
